A Sparkling Twist on a Classic: Blackberry Raspberry Gin Fizz
We’ve already had so much fun mixing up cocktails with our homemade blackberry raspberry liqueur (aka homemade Chambord), and I’m not done yet! Today’s recipe is a little fizzy, a little fruity, and incredibly easy to make—meet the Blackberry Raspberry Gin Fizz. Whether you're celebrating something special like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, or just want to sip something pretty on a sunny afternoon, this one’s for you.
Curious how just a few ingredients can turn into something this delicious? 💭
This cocktail is a breeze to make, so no shaker or stirring glass is needed! The rich berry notes of the liqueur pair beautifully with botanical gin and a splash of soda water for that irresistible sparkle. Add a dash of lemon juice to brighten things up, and you’ve got yourself a drink that feels elegant but takes barely a minute to make.
You can dress it up with fresh raspberries and a slice of lemon, or keep it simple and let the gorgeous color shine. I love that it works just as well for brunch with your besties as it does for a quiet evening on the balcony. 💕
So grab your favorite glass, a handful of ice, and let’s make something special—because any day can be a celebration when there’s a homemade cocktail in hand, right?
🍸 Bramble Meets Fizz: What Makes This Cocktail Unique?
This delightful drink is a little mash-up of some of my favorite classic gin cocktails—a Bramble, a Tom Collins, and a Gin Fizz. But don’t worry, it’s not complicated at all! We skip the crushed ice from the Bramble and use good old ice cubes instead, just like in a Tom Collins or a classic Gin Fizz.
I also leave out the sugar syrup, because the homemade Chambord already brings a lovely berry sweetness to the mix (and a hint of vanilla!). To keep things bright without tipping into sour territory, I like to add small lemon wedges to the glass along with the ice—and just give one a little squeeze over the drink before dropping it in. It’s just enough citrus to lift everything without overpowering that gorgeous berry and botanical balance.
And here’s the sparkle: we just top it all off with bubbly soda water, which makes it incredibly refreshing. If you have a soda siphon, go ahead and use it! If not, a bottle will do just fine. Either way, the gin is the star here—smooth, botanical, and perfectly balanced by the fruity liqueur and gentle fizz.
🥘 Ingredients
- Cubed ice – for chilling the drink and adding a refreshing clink. Fill your glass about halfway.
- Blackberry raspberry liqueur – homemade or store-bought Chambord both work beautifully here.
- Gin – choose a gin you love, preferably one with a soft, floral, or citrus-forward profile. I opted for a Hendrick's Flora Adora Gin.
- Lemon wedge, cut into cubes – this adds a fresh zing without overpowering the drink. (No need for a lot of squeezing—just drop them in with the ice!)
- Soda water – a splash of sparkle to top things off. Use a siphon if you’ve got one, or your favorite bottle of sparkling water.
- Lemon wedge & black raspberries – for garnish. Because we drink with our eyes first!

🔪 Instructions
Step 1: Take a fresh lemon wedge and cut it into little cubes. We’ll use these instead of lemon juice to add just the right amount of citrus without making the drink too sour.
Step 2: Fill your highball glass with a handful of ice cubes and drop in the lemon pieces. They’ll chill the drink and add a gentle lemony lift.
Step 3: Pour in the blackberry raspberry liqueur (homemade or Chambord—whatever you have!) and your favorite gin. This is already starting to smell amazing, isn’t it?
Step 4: Take the last lemon cube and give it a little squeeze over the glass before tossing it in. It’s like a tiny citrusy kiss!
Step 5: Top it all with soda water—sparkling and crisp. Use a siphon if you have one, or simply pour gently from a bottle.
Step 6: Give your drink a soft stir to bring everything together. Then garnish with a lemon wedge and a blackberry/raspberry for that final flourish.
Sip, smile, and enjoy every berry-sparkly moment! 💕

💭 Top tips - Soda Streamer or Siphon?
Both are fabulous—just in different ways!
- A soda streamer is super practical and perfect for everyday use. It’s quick, easy, and ideal for whipping up sparkling water whenever the mood strikes. I love using mine when we’re making fizzy drinks as a family—it turns any moment into a little celebration!
- A soda siphon, though, brings that vintage cocktail bar magic. It uses CO₂ cartridges to create sparkling water with a bit of flair, and it always makes me feel like I’m shaking up something extra special. It’s a fun, elegant touch if you’re hosting or simply want to give your drinks that retro sparkle.
Looking for the perfect fizzy helper?
If you love making sparkling drinks at home, a SodaStream is a kitchen staple I can’t live without. For that elegant cocktail hour vibe, a soda siphon is pure charm.
✅ I use my SodaStream for everyday sparkle.
✅ And when I’m feeling fancy, I bring out my classic soda siphon.
