After experimenting with all those dreamy drinks, I wanted something a little more flexible—something I could keep in the fridge and add to whatever coffee I was brewing that day. A few test batches later (and some delicious fails along the way), I landed on the ultimate lavender coffee creamer: creamy, fragrant, and full of character.

Ingredients you need

  • Heavy cream or half-and-half
    • For a rich and luxurious texture, go with heavy cream. If you prefer something a bit lighter but still creamy, half-and-half is a lovely choice. Both work beautifully in hot or iced coffee drinks.
  • Dried culinary lavender
    • Steeped like a floral tea, this brings natural lavender flavor into your creamer. Just make sure it’s culinary-grade—this is key! Some lavenders are grown for scent, not flavor, and can taste bitter or soapy. Culinary lavender is soft, floral, and food-safe.
  • Monin lavender syrup
    • This gorgeous syrup does double duty: it sweetens and enhances the lavender flavor without needing extra honey or maple syrup. It’s especially great if you want a consistent, balanced taste every time. If you don’t have lavender syrup, use honey or maple syrup instead.
  • Vanilla extract
    • Adds cozy depth and softens the edges of the lavender, turning the whole thing into a hug-in-a-cup kind of creamer.

How To Make Lavender Coffee Creamer From Scratch

Step 1: Start with cream and lavender.
Pour your heavy cream or half-and-half into a small saucepan and add dried culinary lavender. Give it a gentle stir and warm over low heat—just until it’s cozy and steamy, not bubbling.

Step 2: Let it steep like a floral tea.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture steep for 15 to 20 minutes. This is where the magic happens—the lavender releases its soft floral notes and infuses the cream with a calming aroma.

Step 3: Strain and sweeten.
Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain out the lavender buds. Now stir in your vanilla extract and a swirl of Monin lavender syrup. It sweetens the creamer and adds that extra pop of lavender flavor we love.

Pour your dreamy lavender creamer into a clean jar or bottle, pop it in the fridge, and give it a little shake before each use. It’ll keep for 5 to 7 days, ready to turn any cup of coffee into something truly special.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon Dried culinary lavender
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Monin lavender syrup

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup Heavy cream (or half-and-half) and 1 tablespoon Dried culinary lavender.
  • Warm gently over low heat for about 5 minutes—just until it’s warm, not boiling.
  • Remove from heat and let steep for 15–20 minutes to allow the lavender to infuse.
  • Strain out the lavender buds using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  • Stir in 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons Monin lavender syrup.
  • Pour into a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate.
  • Shake before each use.
