There’s something effortlessly enchanting about a Lavender Gin Spritz. The elegant floral notes, zesty lemon twist, and subtle purple hue make it perfect for any occasion where you want to add a touch of sophistication to the festivities.

This lavender gin cocktail is as delightful to look at as it is to sip, and today, I’m excited to show you how to create this beautiful drink at home.

While most lavender cocktails might start with a bottle of lavender gin, I’ve taken a different approach. Here, classic Tanqueray gin is brought to life with the addition of lavender syrup and a splash of fresh lemon juice, giving the drink a perfect balance of floral and citrusy flavors. Add a splash of bubbly prosecco, and you have a lavender gin spritz that’s light, refreshing, and oh-so-festive.

If you’re as obsessed with lavender as I am, you’re in the right place. I love using lavender not just in cocktails but also in sweet treats, and I’ve got plenty of inspiration for a lavender-themed gathering. Think lavender muffins, cookies, and more aromatic cocktails to complete the party spread. And for fellow coffee lovers, don’t miss my recipes for a honey lavender latte or iced lavender latte over on my coffee blog.

So, let’s dive in! Grab your shaker, your favorite cocktail glasses, and let’s whip up this delightful lavender gin cocktail together!

🥘 Ingredients

Ingredients lavender gin Prosecco cocktail - lavender syrup, gin, lemon juice, cubed ice, and Prosecco.
  • Cubed ice – for the shaker. No one likes a warm spritz, right?
  • Tanqueray Gin – or feel free to switch it up with lavender gin for a double dose of floral goodness, or even go wild with Hendrick’s Flora Adora if you’re in the mood to really embrace those botanical vibes.
  • Lavender syrup – I used Monin’s store-bought syrup for convenience, but if you have a homemade favorite, go for it!
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice – nothing beats the brightness and zing of fresh citrus. Check our blog boat, if you wanna know how much lemon juice is in one lemon.
  • Prosecco – the bubbly star of this cocktail! This sparkling wine comes from the picturesque Italian village that shares its name. With the “controlled indication of origin” (D.O.C.), only the finest white sparkling wines from certain regions in Italy can be called Prosecco, ensuring you get the authentic taste and quality.
  • Lemon slice – for garnish.

🍸 Variations

  • Garnish: Switch things up by swapping the lemon slice for a sprig of fresh lavender. It adds a lovely touch of elegance and extra floral aroma.
  • Gin: For a more intense botanical experience, try using lavender gin or go bold with Hendrick’s Flora Adora. It’s a great way to elevate those floral notes and make the spritz even more enchanting!

💭 Top tips

Avoid a fizzy disaster—never pour the Prosecco into the cocktail shaker! Shake only the non-carbonated ingredients, then top with bubbly afterward. Otherwise, you’ll be decorating your kitchen with a sparkling mess!
