The soothing floral taste, closely resembling hints of rosemary and mint, is the perfect drink to sip in the spring. Plus, the low alcohol content makes the lavender spritz suitable for casual sipping at lunch, or as an aperitif before a meal.
I'm a huge fan of lavender since I have so much of it growing in our garden. In addition to being beautiful and fragrant, it also protects our roses from bugs! It's also great to have fresh clipping available only a few short steps from my kitchen when it comes time for baking or crafting cocktails!

About the Ingredients
Lavender Syrup - Personally, I use Monin Lavender Syrup for this recipe. You can use your own homemade lavender syrup, but it just doesn't have the same vibrant blue-purple color as store-bought options. I love the stunning beautiful purple blue color I get with Monin Lavender Syrup, which gives the cocktail a nice aesthetic touch.
Prosecco - This is an Italian sparkling wine that comes from an Italian village of the same name. It is labeled with a "controlled indication of origin" (D.O.C. = Designation of Origin), which means that only white sparkling wine from specific regions in Italy can bear the name Prosecco. These D.O.C.s exist throughout the spirits industry to preserve quality and heritage.
🍸 Step-by-Step
🔪 Instructions
The first thing you'll want to do is chill your glasses! Personally, I like chilling them in the freezer beforehand.
You'll fill your chilled glasses to the brim with ice cubes and pour 2 oz of Prosecco into each glass.
Next, you'll also add in 1 ½ oz Lavender syrup and ¾ oz soda water to each glass.
The last thing you'll need to do is garnish your drink with a lemon wedge or disc.
OTHER USES FOR LAVENDER
Lavender is great in cocktail recipes, but you can also incorporate into recipes like muffins, coffees, and teas. It's also delicious when infused into liquors, added to sugars, or made into a lavender simple syrup.
Apart from consumption, though, dried lavender sprigs can also be made into scented sachets and help keep moths out of the closet or use in homemade body scrubs, soaps, and tinctures.
🍸 Variations
There're a few fun and delicious ways you can tweak this recipe! One of my favorite ways to vary this recipe is by preparing it with white wine, soda water, and lemon juice. Yum!

This drink is best served in a chilled glass!
Are you wondering, "How do I chill a cocktail glass properly?" Don't worry, because I've got a few good suggestions for my selves!
The most efficient way to get a perfectly chilled glass is to put them in the freezer beforehand. I usually like to give it at least a half hour, but if you're like me and plan to have friends and family over for backyard grilling and dinner parties this summer, you could also throw your glasses in the night before.
If you don't have that kind of freezer space or that kind of time between refills for your guests, another method you could adopt is filling each cocktail glass with ice cubes while you prepare your garnish. Once you're done, you can dump out the ice and start pouring the cocktail.
