Tangy Sour Cream Ice Cream
Indulge in this refreshing sour cream ice cream, crafted with just four simple ingredients. Perfectly creamy and tangy, it’s an ideal treat to enjoy on its own or as a delightful topping for an apple crisp. This version is effortlessly prepared using an ice cream maker, allowing you to savor its deliciousness immediately.

For a unique and intriguing flavor experience, use homemade vanilla sugar in this recipe. The sour cream adds the perfect touch of acidity, creating a tang that might make you think there’s lemon in the mix.
However, the delightful, slightly lemony taste comes solely from the sour cream, making this ice cream a truly unique and exciting treat
? Ingredients

- Sour cream: Adds a zesty, lemon-like flavor that makes this ice cream uniquely tangy. (You can also make delicious cookies with sour cream!)
- Yogurt: Contributes a creamy texture and mild tanginess, balancing the overall flavor.
- Sugar: Sweetens the ice cream, enhancing its flavor without overpowering the tangy notes.
- Vanilla sugar: I highly recommend using homemade vanilla sugar to boost the vanilla intensity. Check out our recipe for homemade vanilla sugar for the best results.
