Ready to shake things up?

Ingredients you need

  • Espresso or strong coffee: Use whatever you have on hand. An espresso shot is ideal for a rich flavor, but cooled, strong-brewed coffee works just as well.
  • Chocolate Whey Protein: I used a chocolate-flavored whey protein powder I already had at home. Feel free to substitute casein or your preferred blend.
  • Milk or plant-based alternative: Oat milk, almond milk, dairy milk… It’s your choice! I love switching it up depending on my mood (and what’s in my fridge).
  • Optional add-ins: A tiny splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon adds a lovely touch of warmth and depth. I especially love the cinnamon combo in the fall!

How To Make Iced Protein Coffee

Step 1:
Brew your espresso (or strong coffee) and let it cool for a few minutes. You don’t want it too hot, or it could mess with the texture of the protein shake.

Step 2:
Add the cooled espresso, protein powder, and cold milk to your blender bottle.
(You can also use a blender, but the shaker is quicker—especially when you’re rushing out the door.)

Step 3:
Now shake it! Use a protein shaker ball if you have one! It helps everything dissolve beautifully without any clumps. Shake for about 20–30 seconds until smooth and frothy.

Step 4:
Fill a glass with ice, pour your iced protein coffee on top, and sip away! 🌞💪
