🥘 Ingredients

- Vodka
- A clean, neutral vodka works beautifully here, but I often opt for vanilla vodka to give the drink a subtle vanilla note that pairs like a dream with peach. It adds just the right hint of warmth and sweetness. You can use store-bought, or make your own! It's easier than you think. Get the recipe here: Best Vanilla Vodka
- Homemade Peach Puree
- Fresh, ripe peaches blended into a smooth puree add natural sweetness and summery flavor. If your puree is extra thick, you can thin it slightly with a splash of water or lemon juice. No peaches on hand? Canned peach nectar works too!
- Fresh Lime Juice
- Freshly squeezed lime juice adds just the right amount of zing and brightness to balance the sweetness of the peach. Don't be tempted to use bottled, it's worth the quick squeeze!
- Ginger Beer
- A spicy, fizzy ginger beer gives this cocktail its signature mule kick. I prefer using Fever-Tree. It's bold, clean, and beautifully balanced without being too sweet.
- Cubed Ice or Crushed Ice
- Fresh Peach Slices & Mint Sprig (for garnish)
- These little touches make your peach mule look as fabulous as it tastes. A juicy peach wedge and a sprig of mint add color, aroma, and instant summer vibes.

🍑 Quick Ingredient Swaps
Out of something? Here's how to make this cocktail work with what you have:
- No peach puree? Use store-bought peach nectar. It's not quite as fresh, but still delicious.
- No vanilla vodka? Use regular vodka and add a drop or two of real vanilla extract for a similar hint of flavor.
- No fresh lime juice? Bottled lime juice can work in a pinch-but fresh really makes a difference! For tips, check out my guide to fresh lime juice.
🍺 Why Use a Copper Mug for a Moscow Mule?
The copper mug isn't just a pretty face; it's part of what makes a Moscow Mule so iconic. There's a reason this drink is almost always served in that frosty metal cup.
Copper is an excellent conductor of temperature, which means it keeps your drink icy cold from the first sip to the last. As soon as the mug is filled with chilled ingredients and ice, the copper starts working its magic-helping the crushed or cubed ice stay solid longer and giving you that delightful frosty exterior.
But it's not just about temperature! The copper also enhances the drinking experience:
- It brings out the crisp, spicy notes of the ginger beer
- It gives each sip a refreshing zing against the cool metal
- And let's be honest-it looks fantastic in photos!
If you don't have a copper mug on hand, no worries. A tall glass will still get the job done, but if you're a mule fan, investing in a copper mug is totally worth it.
🍽 Equipment
- Copper mugs
- Bar spoon
- Measuring tools / Jigger
- Sharp knife & cutting board
- Lemon squeezer

🍹 What Is a Built Drink?
This Peach Moscow Mule recipe is what bartenders call a built drink. That simply means it's prepared directly in the serving glass-no shaker, no stirring glass, no extra tools required (except maybe your favorite bar spoon).
You add the ingredients straight into the mug or glass: vodka, peach puree, and lime juice first. Then you stir, add ice, and top with ginger beer. Give it one final stir, garnish with mint and peach slices, and voilà-ready to sip.
Built drinks are perfect for entertaining because they're quick, easy, and require minimal cleanup. And this one? It's as peachy and refreshing as it gets.
