Ready to stir up something a little spooky? This Halloween, I’ve got the perfect eerie treat to serve your guests: the Kramble cocktail! It’s a hauntingly vibrant red, ridiculously easy to mix up, and will definitely steal the show at your next Halloween bash.

Spooky kramble cocktail, garnished with frozen blackberries and placed on a foggy plate.

This devilishly good drink blends the boldness of Kraken Black Spiced Rum with tart cranberry juice, zesty lemon,a touch of sweetness from simple syrup, and muddled blackberries for an extra layer of dark, juicy flavor. Toss in some blackberries, serve it over crushed ice, and voilà—the ultimate party centerpiece!

Lately, I’ve been completely hooked on Kraken Black Spiced Rum. Whether I’m keeping it classic with Kraken Cola or Ginger Beer (hello, Dark and Stormy vibes!) or spicing things up with this Kramble, it never disappoints. I can’t get enough of its rich flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, and clove—it’s a Halloween must-have!

Now, enough talking. Grab that cocktail shaker—let’s get mixing!

🎃 Happy Halloween! 👻

🥘 Ingredients

Ingredients for a Kramble Halloween cocktail - cranberry juice, lemon juice, sugar syrup, The Kraken black spiced rum, blackberries, and crushed ice.
  • Blackberries for muddling – Muddling is just a fancy way of gently smashing up ingredients like fruits or herbs to release their natural flavors and juices—super easy, but it makes all the difference!
  • The Kraken Black Spiced Rum – currently my favorite spiced rum 😀
  • Cranberry Juice – perfect for Halloween cocktails!
  • Simple syrup – I am using homemade simple syrup.
  • Lemon juice – freshly squeezed is best! Check out the following posts if you wanna know “how much lemon juice is in one lemon“, and our detailed guide to freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Crushed Ice
  • Garnish – blackberries (I used frozen ones for a more dramatic look)

🔪 Instructions

Step 1: In your serving glass, toss in about five blackberries and muddle them with a muddler or the back of a tablespoon if you don’t have one. Set the glass aside.

Step 2: Squeeze your lemon, saving ½ oz (1 cl) of juice for one cocktail.

Step 3: Grab a cocktail shaker (I’m using a Boston shaker today), and in the smaller tin, add the rum, cranberry juice, simple syrup, and that freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Step 4: Fill the larger tin with crushed ice and pour the mixture from the small tin over it.

Step 5: Close the shaker tightly and shake it like you mean it—get everything nice and chilled.

Step 6: Now for the fun part—open the shaker and dirty dump (aka pour out everything, including the ice) into your glass with the muddled blackberries.

Step 7: Top it off with some more crushed ice and garnish with a few frozen blackberries for that spooky touch.

Step 8: Time to sip and enjoy your deliciously eerie cocktail!
