🥘 Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine: You can use champagne, prosecco, or whatever you like with bubbles! Since orange juice can be very bright, you may want a more dry flavor, but if you like it sweet, choose a sweeter sparkling wine. Keep in mind that the amount of wine needed varies slightly depending on the glass you choose to use. As a rule of thumb, use half a glass of sparkling wine, then fill it with orange juice, leaving just enough room for the violet liqueur.
- Orange Juice: Whether it's from the bottle or freshly squeezed, orange juice is always delicious.
- Monin Violet Liqueur: This sweet and floral liqueur has a pleasantly light violet flavor and wonderfully floral aroma. The combination of the purple hue of this liquid with the orange juice creates the delightful kelly green color in this cocktail!
- Lime Slices: Use fresh limes with beautiful bright skin to make slices for garnishing this festive drink.
See the recipe card for quantities.
🍸 Step-by-Step Instructions
Step One: Fill the champagne glasses half full with sparkling wine.
Step Two: Add orange juice until the glass is about ¾ of the way full.
Step Three: Add the violet liqueur and stir gently to prevent it from settling.
Step Four: Garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy! Cheers!

What’s in a wine? Everything! The sparkling wine in the drink really gives the cocktail personality. Have fun playing with the different varieties of sparkling wine, prosecco, and champagne available. You can make something bold and bright or more subtle.
Also, remember you try different orange juice blends. Try an O.J. made with blood orange or a juice blend featuring oranges, pineapples, and more. These easy trades can help your personal tastes really shine!
You can also make a non-alcoholic version of this sweet sipper by trading the sparkling wine for your favorite sparkling white grape juice. That way everyone can raise a glass of green mimosas to the Emerald Isle!
