🥘 Ingredients
- Frozen berry mix: I am using a store-bought berry mix containing strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and currants.
- Orange juice
- Sparkling wine: I use the term 'sparkling wine' to describe a wider range of drinks that are suitable for this recipe. You can use traditional champagne or try alternatives such as Prosecco or American sparkling wine. Here, you can get creative and discover the sparkling wine that best suits your taste preferences. When choosing a sparkling wine, remember that "brut" stands for a dry taste profile, while "sec" stands for the sweeter side of sparkling wine. As a rule, dry champagne goes well with the sweetness of orange juice, but you can choose your favorite and make it your own!
- Granulated sugar for sweetening (optional)
- Fresh strawberries for garnish
See the recipe card for quantities.
🔪 Instructions
Step 1: Blend the frozen berry mix, sugar (optional), and orange juice until smooth.
Step 2: Divide the berry mix smoothie between the champagne glasses.
Step 3: Top up each glass with sparkling wine, pouring slowly to prevent foaming.
Step 4: Stir gently and top up glasses if necessary.
Step 5: Cut a fresh strawberry into quarters and place a quarter on the rim of each glass as garnish.
