Granola Cups with Yogurt & Fruit – The Perfect Morning Treat

Who’s ready to turn breakfast into a little moment of joy? These delightfully crispy granola cups are filled with creamy natural yogurt, fresh strawberries, and sweet blue grapes, all finished with a drizzle of maple syrup.

Cute little granola cup, filled with yogurt and topped with fresh strawberries, blue grapes, and drizzled with maple syrup. Placed on dark green plate.

They’re not just a feast for the taste buds but also a treat for the eyes—golden, crunchy, and absolutely irresistible. Best of all? They come together in just 30 minutes and make mornings feel a little extra special.

Wondering if these granola cups are as easy to make as they are delicious?

Oh, trust me—they are! My 8-year-old daughter is quite the little foodie (and, let’s be honest, a bit of a tough critic when it comes to breakfast). But when I placed these granola cups in front of her? Instant breakfast magic! She took one bite, her eyes lit up, and before I knew it, she was asking for seconds. That’s when I knew—this recipe was a keeper.

And honestly, I totally get it. There’s something so fun about eating granola in cup form—it’s like having your own edible breakfast bowl! The crunch, the creamy yogurt, the burst of juicy fruit… it’s a perfect combination of textures and flavors. Plus, it’s easy to customize! You can swap out the yogurt, change up the fruit, or even add a sprinkle of nuts or chocolate chips for a little extra indulgence.

So, if you’re looking for a quick, wholesome, and delicious breakfast that both kids and adults will love, you’re in the right place.

Let’s dive into this simple, homemade granola cup recipe—you’ll be hooked in no time!

🥘 Ingredients

Breakfast granola ingredients - cocoa-almond butter, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, yogurt, agave syrup, rolled oats, fresh fruit, maple syrup.
  • Rolled oats
  • Ground cinnamon – We recommend using Ceylon cinnamon, as it contains very little coumarin, making it a healthier choice.
  • Ground vanilla
  • Agave syrup
  • Almond butter – I used a cocoa-infused variety here. It makes the granola cup a bit more tart and not too sweet.
  • Salt
  • Natural yogurt, fresh strawberries, and sweet blue grapes for the filling
  • Maple syrup for drizzling

See the recipe card for quantities.

🔪 Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) (top/bottom heat).

Step 2: Line a muffin tin with silicone molds—trust me, this makes getting the granola cups out so much easier. The first time I skipped this step, and let’s just say… those little suckers didn’t want to budge!

Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, cinnamon, vanilla, almond butter, salt, and agave syrup. Stir until everything is well coated and the mixture sticks together.

Step 4: Use a tablespoon to divide the mixture evenly into the muffin tin, pressing it into each cup to form a bowl shape.

Spoon the granola mix into the muffin tin molds.
Press the granola mixture into the muffin tin molds.

Step 5: Bake in the middle rack of your oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden and crisp.

Step 6: Let them cool completely before removing them from the mold—luckily, they cool down pretty fast!

💕 Variations

What I absolutely love about these granola cups is how easy it is to mix things up! You can get as creative as you want and tailor them to your cravings—or whatever happens to be in your fridge. Plain yogurt? Fruit yogurt? Chocolate or vanilla? Go wild! Whether you keep it classic with dairy-based yogurt or go for a vegan alternative, these little cups are the perfect base for all kinds of deliciousness.

And let’s talk fruit pairings—the options are endless! Go traditional with apple and raisins, or get a little fancy with physalis and mango for a tropical twist. Love berries? Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries all work beautifully. And if you’re feeling extra indulgent, a sprinkle of dark chocolate shavings on top never hurt anyone.

But wait—it gets even better. You can also switch up the nut butters! Try creamy peanut butter for a rich, nutty flavor, almond butter for a hint of sweetness, or coconut butter for a tropical vibe. Want an extra crunch? Toss in chopped nuts or a handful of cacao nibs.

Seriously, the possibilities are endless, and that’s what makes these granola cups so much fun! What’s your favorite combo? Let me know—I’m always up for new breakfast inspiration! 😊
