Honestly, this Black Velvet is one of my favorite low-effort, high-impact drinks. It gives off gothic speakeasy vibes while being as easy as popping a bottle of bubbly and pouring a stout. I like using Guinness or another deeply malty English stout for that inky black color and caramel depth; it pairs beautifully with dry sparkling wine. And that lychee eye? Trust me, your guests will love it. I've tested this drink at family gatherings and Halloween parties, and every time someone picks it up, they gasp, they laugh, and they ask for seconds. (Mission accomplished!)
Whether you're throwing a haunted dinner party, cozying up with a spooky movie, or setting up a DIY drink station for guests, this cocktail is your dark horse winner. It's classy, creepy, and totally Halloween-ready.
So grab your lychees, pop a blueberry in the freezer, and let's conjure up something magical… 🖤🎃

🥘 Ingredients
- Stout beer: Use a dark English stout, such as Guinness. Its rich, roasty flavor and deep black color are essential for that spooky look.
- Sparkling wine: A dry Brut or Extra Brut sparkling wine keeps this drink from being too sweet and balances the maltiness of the stout beautifully.
- Lychee "eyeball" garnish: Grab canned lychees and pop a frozen blueberry inside. The blueberry slowly thaws, creating veiny details inside the lychee-pure Halloween gold.

🔪 Instructions

Step 1
Hold a bottle of stout beer in one hand and a bottle of sparkling wine in the other (or get a second pair of hands to help! It's always more fun together!). Slowly and steadily pour both at the same time into the glass. This keeps the drink well-mixed without too much fizz.

Step 2
Garnish with a lychee "eyeball"! Stuff a frozen blueberry into the center of a canned lychee and skewer it on a cocktail pick. Rest it gently on the rim or drop it in for a floating stare!
