These intensely green Halloween Jello shot syringes combine lime gelatin, vodka, and blue curaçao for a sweet, citrusy party shot with a wonderfully creepy look. Serve them in food-safe syringes or pour them into little skull-shaped shot glasses.
Add 1 box Lime gelatin to a heatproof measuring jug or bowl.
1 box Lime gelatin
Pour in 1 cup Boiling water and whisk until completely dissolved.
1 cup Boiling water
Stir in ½ cup Vodka, ¼ cup Blue curaçao, and ¼ cup Cold water.
½ cup Vodka, ¼ cup Blue curaçao, ¼ cup Cold water
Add 1 to 2 drops Green food coloring if you want an even more intense shade.
1 to 2 drops Green food coloring
Let the mixture cool for a few minutes, but keep it fully liquid.
Draw part of the mixture into clean, food-safe 5 ml and 10 ml syringes without needles.
Divide the remaining mixture between at least 10 small shot glasses.
Arrange the filled syringes and glasses on a tray or in shallow containers so they stay steady.
Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours, or until completely set.
If the syringe shots are very firm, let them sit briefly outside the refrigerator before serving so they are easier to push out.
Notes
For a Halloween party, I recommend mixing 5 ml and 10 ml Jello shot syringes with at least 10 small shot glasses instead of making every serving identical. One batch gives you roughly 40 to 45 mixed-size servings, depending on how generously you fill the syringes and glasses. These Jello shots set fairly firmly, which worked especially well in my skull-shaped shot glasses.Only use clean, food-safe syringes without needles. These shots contain alcohol and are intended for adults.
