Classic Old Fashioned Cocktail
With only three simple ingredients, bourbon, angostura bitters, and sugar syrup, you can make this classic old fashioned cocktail in no time!

- Old fashioned or rocks glass
Ingredients
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- ½ oz Sugar syrup
- 2 oz Bourbon
- Ice cubes for the stirring glass
- 1 Ice cube one large cube for the glass (small ones work as well)
- 1 Orange for garnish
Instructions
- Take a well-chilled stirring glass out of the freezer.
- Add 3 dashes Angostura bitters.3 dashes Angostura bitters
- Then add ½ oz Sugar syrup and 2 oz Bourbon.½ oz Sugar syrup, 2 oz Bourbon
- Fill the stirring glass with Ice cubesand stir well with a bar spoon.Ice cubes
- Take a rocks glass (ideally chilled), add 1 Ice cube (large, or several small ones), and pour the drink through a Julep (or Hawthorn) strainer into the glass.1 Ice cube
- Finally, cut off an orange zest (this means a small disc from the edge of the orange) and garnish the drink with it.
