Ingredientsfor the Crust

– All-Purpose Flour – Icing Sugar – Salt – Butter (unsalted) – Walnuts – Egg Yolks – Water

Step 1

Combine flour, icing sugar, salt, and cold butter and work them together.

Step 2

Add yolks, water and walnuts and work everything together into a dough.

Step 3

Cut the dough in half and wrap each in cling film.

Chill for 1 hour.

Ingredients apple pastry cream

– Lemon Juice – Cinnamon – Apples – Walnuts – Whole Milk – Heavy Cream – Egg Yolks – Eggs – Granulated Sugar – Corn Starch – Vanilla Extract

Step 4

Cut your apples in cubes and soak them in lemon water.

Step 5

Mix 1/4 cup of sugar and 5 tbsp of lemon water in a small pan. Heat it up on medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

Step 6

Strain the apples and add them to the sugar water, add walnuts and cinnamon and set aside.

Step 7

Create a gorgeous custard.

Step 8

And combine it with the caramalized apples.

Step 9

Line a springform pan with the prepared dough.

Step 10

Fill it with the apple custard.


And bake it for 40 minutes at 365 °F.

Let it cool down before removing the tart from the springform pan.
